Haley Morin

Haley Morin is pursuing an MD at the Stanford School of Medicine. Haley is a 2019 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she completed a dual degree program to receive her BSN in Nursing and BS in Economics from Wharton specializing in healthcare management. At Penn, Haley served as a Resident Advisor and the treasurer of an education-focused student government branch. Haley has worked on research at a variety of organizations including Penn Nursing’s Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She has further explored ways to impact the US healthcare landscape through her internships at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Penn Medicine’s Center for Health Care Innovation.

After graduation, Haley practiced as an Emergency Room nurse in Princeton NJ until January 2021 when she joined the PETAL Network as a research nurse to assist with clinical trials testing therapeutics for critically ill patients with COVID-19. At Stanford, she hopes to develop her scientific understanding of disease and use her healthcare management skills to improve healthcare outcomes. She is interested in studying health outcomes for the particularly vulnerable, particularly those with intellectual disabilities residing in group homes.

During the summer of 2022, Haley performed Covid ICU/immunology research.
