Kortney Ondayko (she/her) joined Samvid Ventures as a Senior Associate in 2021. She works closely with the Samvid Young Leaders and Social Impact Fellowship programs. Kortney is passionate about innovative program design, authentic implementation, and participatory evaluation.
Prior to Samvid Ventures, Kortney was the evaluation project manager at Starfish Family Services, where she supported data driven decision making, quality improvement and project management. In 2019, Kortney graduated from Michigan State University with a Masters in Program Evaluation, the first in her family to do so. Before studying evaluation, Kortney studied Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies and Nonprofit Administration at Grand Valley State University (GVSU). While at GVSU, she worked at the Women’s Center and studied abroad in South Africa at the University of Cape Town.
Kortney was born and raised in the suburbs of Southeast, MI. Kortney continues to live, work and play in Detroit and the surrounding area.
Kortney’s is a proud dog mom to her goldendoodle pup, Rue. Together, they enjoy being outside, taking walks and visiting family and friends.
