Social Enterprise Programming

Samvid Ventures is excited to launch multiple programs to build and support social enterprises that meaningfully promote inclusive economies. The programming will focus on two areas: 1.) advancing enterprises’ ability to create and sustain earned revenue streams that encourage self-sustainability and 2.) utilizing technology to improve program outcomes and deepen the enterprises’ reach. The social enterprise programming will eventually take place in SV’s physical locations in Detroit and New York, but in the near term will focus on launching a virtual cohort-based offering.

Program Director Role

The Program Director will work alongside SV’s leadership team and Board of Directorsto launch and manage social enterprise programming. This individual will have the ability to engage in both the design phase of the program and help with ongoing management of SV’s social enterprise body of work.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Program design and launch: Building on the vision set by the board, collaborate with SV’s leadership team to design andrnlaunch SV’s first social enterprise program. Conduct research to ensure the program design is sound and meets the needs ofrnsocial entrepreneurs who are aligned with SV’s vision.

  • Program management: Fully own all details of SV’s social enterprise programming, including partner selection process;rndriving marketing and communications efforts; planning and helping to execute training and community -building opportunities; and leading all program tracking, evaluation, and improvement efforts.

  • Strategic program growth: Under direction of the board, participate in building out SV’s full set of social enterpriserninitiatives, which will include innovative approaches to investment, education, and ecosystem development.

  • Relationship building: Authentically and meaningfully engage with social entrepreneurs, the communities they serve, andrnthe SV team and board to ensure needs are met, curiosities are satisfied, and positive partnerships are built and maintainedrnboth internally and externally.

Who We’re Looking For

    rn t

  • 7-10+ years of experience, preferably with some time in program design and management and social enterprise
  • rn t

  • Experience launching a program and improving operations and core strategy over time
  • rn t

  • Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred
  • rn t

  • Commitment to and passion for social enterprise, with an interest in earned revenue and technology as promising tools forrnsocial change
  • rn t

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the capacity to think creatively and rapidly come up with new ideas and solutions
  • rn t

  • Ability to balance bold ideas with a humble attitude, always seeking to learn more

  • Outstanding active listening skills with a keen ability to take action after conversations and meetings
