Rosie Sanchez has lived in Southwest Detroit all her life, a community of culture and familiarity. She is a recent 2021 graduate from Cesar Chavez Academy High School and transitioned to the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor last fall. She will likely major in Psychology and minor in Creative Writing. She has engaged in a multitude of programs including the Michigan Hispanic Collaborative and youth groups at Urban Neighborhood Initiatives. She plans on working with children as a child therapist after achieving her master’s degree, along with striving to become a published author down the road. She is working to become an active member in her community, both at home and on campusÂ
