Sophie Li

Sophie Li is pursuing a JD at Harvard Law School where she will study international human rights and refugee law. She received a BA in Politics with a minor in Journalism from Princeton University, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and is a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford. 

Sophie previously interned at The Economist in London where she contributed to strategic litigation work. She has also volunteered with a charity supporting migrants in Oxford, a legal aid clinic for asylum seekers and individuals facing deportation, and a crisis and suicide hotline.  

Sophie aspires to be an immigration and asylum lawyer, both representing clients directly and effecting systemic change through strategic litigation. She was born in the U.S. and grew up in Hong Kong. She enjoys photography, painting, hiking, and a good bowl of soup.
