Shanjida Akhtar was born in Bangladesh, but was raised in Michigan from a young age. She will graduate from Al-Ikhlas Training Academy in 2022. Her favorite class is government because the teacher makes it fun to learn. She involves herself in several activities, both inside and outside of school. She is a member of the Chess club at school. Outside of school, she involves herself in programs like the NAF Future Ready Scholars Program. She also likes to use her time at her local masjid to assist the teachers in teaching the kids. In the Fall of 2022, Shanjida will be attending the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. There, she is interested in learning Computer Science. Shanjida looks forward to making new friends and experiencing college life.
