about the program
In 2020, Samvid Ventures launched Samvid Young Leaders, a scholarship awarded to high achieving, college-bound young women in the Detroit area who face significant financial challenges. The values we have used to select our Samvid Young Leaders include ambition, resourcefulness, perseverance, collaboration, service, and an interest in building financial capability. The program offers $10,000 annually for non-tuition expenses for up to four years, access to best-in-class resources to build financial capability, and a supportive cohort model with connection to peer leaders
Change we seek to drive
We seek to drive students’ personal financial management knowledge and understanding, confidence managing finances, financial health, persistence in school, and academic performance.
